Guests were flocking in, models were on hair & make up and my clothes steamed on the rack. I suddenly had butterflies in my stomach, it was a mixture of excitement and anxiety. There were so much creative talent around me that backstage buzzed with energy. When my time slot was moved up, hell broke lose. The models I had fitted the night before were walking for another designer prior and did not have time to change to my clothes so I had to do what a designer had to do, I grabbed any available models waiting for their segments, (luckily there were plenty!) dressed them and lined them up. I've done so many shows and I've never been in that intense situation. Nevertheless, I've kept it cool and composed and every one of my models that walked slayed it! I'm thankful that everything went smoothly, still I love backstage and the crazy- intense, nerve racking moments.
